Tisca Chandaria is a 23-year-old “swiss army knife” currently based in Toronto.
At the age of thirteen, Tisca began exploring photography as a medium, soon realizing how a proper photo can bring a certain kind of gratification to those on the other side of the lens. She draws inspiration from the works of Steve McCurry and Vivian Maier, artists who have captured the humanity of their subjects with grace and tact. Born in Toronto, raised in Kenya, and having spent 5 years in Los Angeles, Tisca brings a worldly perspective to her work when shooting both digital and film photography, leaving behind Westernized standards of art and beauty to capture the true essence of the people in her images. Her passion doesn’t subside at photography; in 2021, Tisca organized two 300-person concerts for friends that missed live events. Her creative and problem-solving nature is what makes Tisca an adventure-seeking entrepreneur.
